Yeah, not a big issue now that I read that. Didn’t see it in the initial tweet and I was like disgusted when reading the price of $224

 

I come down firmly on the side of "it is not ok to charge admission for a memorial service." I don't care where the proceeds ultimately go.

If you want a public memorial service, it should be free and open to all that wish to attend. If you want to raise money for a charity, ask for donations. But to make the service exclusive by 1) hosting it in a limited seating venue and 2) charging money is, to put it mildly, in poor taste.
