Kinda love that the Bucks being too clingy is gonna cost them Giannis

I think initially, yeah. They probably want to see how dlo/Rubio would mesh on the court before they start them both at the same time. You’ll also want some of that perimeter defense from Rubio off the bench so he’s the only one that plays it, lol.

Would you take a sign and trade for James Harden?

  10. lol sure why not gotta get something for Giannis

he’s the one super star where money means nothing to him so I don’t think a quarter of a billion dollars means anything to him - he’s fine taking lesser money to be on a team that wins titles

i fully expect giannis to be evasive about contract questions the way any other player would in this situation, but the "i'll leave it up to my agents it's not my business" thing is extremely weird to see - like, the super-max is pretty clearly defined in terms of amount and years, no? it seems like there shouldn't be any real confusion on it or any significant negotiations? - unless he wants a shorter deal?

Maybe his agent is just deciding where he goes next lol

Zach Lowe said on his pod with Windhorst a few weeks ago that after the deadline, when Giannis can next re-sign, he would be doing so as an unrestricted and the Bucks can only offer the regular max extension. Still has an advantage over other teams, but for less money than he can get prior to Dec. 22.

Maybe I misheard/misinterpreted something but I'd trust those two's knowledge on the cap/extensions over any of ours.

Ahhh okay, I always thought the players can sign them later on after the deadline in the following off season.
