The Russ has one of the worst contracts in the league take is foolish, preposterous, blasphemous, and downright disrespectful.
HE'S MADE ALL NBA 5 YEARS IN A ROW, HE WON MVP TWO YEARS AGO, HE'S STILL A TOP 15(at worst) PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE.
He's still so good, nowhere near washed, and is going to kill it next to Harden.
Do you wish you could have him for less? Sure but uh, we pay top 15 players a lot of money now, welcome to the modern NBA.

Don't think the Rocket fans are going to mind when they watch him play after two years of Chris Paul's corpse

 

Will be really interesting to see Tyus be a regular starter, to see how much potential he really has; good on him to get paid while he can. Curious now to see what the Wolves' moves will be

 

Actually, part of me wants Houston to win the title now (they won’t) just so all of KD, Serge, Russ and Harden will have a ring, but not with OKC

 

He shouldn’t have won mvp tho.

And won’t age well if he still can’t shoot.

 

Not sure he starts in Memphis, taking morant at #2 in the draft he will most likely be in that position. Tyus would be solid in a sixth man role.

the rockets pile-on gets exhausting for a lot of reasons, which I know because I also hate the rockets and still find it exhausting

 

Russ is much more fun than CP3, was hoping that'd kill some of the hate

 

We were so close to having the perfect league if westbrook went to, like, the pistons or heat. Pistons would've been the most dope.

Pushed Grant Williams for seemingly no reason from behind and then got a flagrant then on the very next play hit him in the head again

Grayson had a lot of guys to keep him in check last year. Dunno if Memphis has that this year.

 

Russ doesn't really move the needle for me. It feels like an even swap for the rockets, and the thunder get worse. Rockets may look good in the regular season, but don't scare me at all come playoff time when defenses ramp up.

 

Adams is only 25 (I don’t know how). He can still fit with this team. Earns a bit, but his age fits.

 

Its weird cause I hate Russ, overrated stat padder who never should have won MVP. I also think Chris Paul is one of the most overrated guards in history, who has never won anything meaningful and never will. Its a worse fit but probably better for for chemistry, they'll at least have fun. Houston is still a definite playoff team, most likely a 4/5 seed, but in a loaded West they could be 1-10 and I wouldn't be surprised.

But on a serious note I haven’t been this excited for the NBA in so long. There’s legit so many good teams

 

Trade didn’t really happen. Sorry folks. I just saw a Harden/CP StateFarm commercial. That’s the proof that the trade isn’t real. Damn shame.

Guaranteed Playoffs (were good and got better):
Clippers (Potentially Ridiculous)
Nuggets (Safe Bet for #1 Seed)
Jazz (Maybe Most Solid All-Around Team)

Playoffs Look Easy (were good and stayed good):
Blazers (Whiteside might fuck everything up)
Spurs (Never count out the Spurs)
Warriors (they're worse but still good)

Playoffs Probably (good teams but questions):
Rockets (Westbrook/Harden fit)
Lakers (supporting cast is a big wildcard)
KINGS (actually no questions Kings are a lock)

Playoffs longshots:
Pelicans (too young but maybe actually they're good?)
OKC (Chris Paul Shai and Adams ain't bad actually, they could make a run)
Timberwolves (Kat suddenly becomes MVP and Wiggins has minimal effort)
Mavs (this is a weird team but they will try to win games)

The Bad Teams Who Aren't Trying:
Suns (pathetic)
Grizzlies (lookin good for someday later)

 

WAY too early predictions for fun heh but:

ECF: Sixers Bucks. Bucks advance
WCF: Clippers Rockets. Clippers advance

Finals: Bucks revenge on Kawhi perhaps? Probably another FMVP for Kawhi tho
