Yeah I don’t get the hype for Lamelo. 6’8 playmaker is great, but add in poor shooting and defense and idk how I feel about that

 

I am a pretty big Lamelo skeptic, there’s upside there but I feel like it’s more likely he’s a huge bust. Way too many red flags

 

idc how good a Ball child is, i wouldn't want any part of Lavar in any remote capacity. he alone would drive me away from Lamelo.

 

I’d bet a good deal of money that Ball ends up being a very good player. He probably doesn’t have mvp upside or anything. But he will be really good.

I rate him as the best prospect in the draft and I don’t think it’s all that close.

 

The only way for this to work is if the Rockets take Wiggins

Which I guess wouldn't be crazy (maybe the Rockets think they can rehab him in a rebuilding situation) but the Rockets could probably get a better package

 

If Harden is really gone and they want to avoid the tax, just get as many picks as you can and tank as hard as possible. There's no incentive to get crowds in for games right now, they don't need a good player back. Max out on picks and young prospects and suck shit for a few years.

 

I just get concerned with the defense and shooting with Ball. I can even get past the shooting if you’re a good enough playmaker.

In terms of ceiling Anthony Edwards could be amazing. He looks like an elite athlete and seems like he can shoot decent

 

Stein’s tweet said Hornets interest in Russ would increase if they didn’t get Ball. It didn’t say Hornets would trade the pick for Russ. Unless he said that elsewhere.

 

I'd take a bet on LaMelo ending up a decent role player like Lonzo, I think he's going to really struggle shooting in the NBA at least for a while, and his general lack of interest / knowing what to do on the defensive end is gonna drive whoever's coaching him insane. He'll be a great passer, maybe eventually can become a decent shooter, but I don't see him becoming much of an offensive threat outside of transition playmaking and passing out of the PnR.

I'd rather have Hayes or Kira Lewis tbh

I'm also not super high on Edwards the more I see out of him. Strongly feel the best players in this draft are gonna be mid-first round guys

 

Danny Ainge is def not having dinner with Harden tonight but if he was wouldn’t that be the craziest form of tampering.

Rockets probably do it because Wall is one of the only contracts that will allow Houston to actually get assets in return.

Russ+Beal is enough for 7/8 in the east and a first round exit. So. Sure I guess
