Yeah I’d say the awards matter to him. He also brought up losing DPOY to Marc Gasol from years ago.

AD isn’t carrying him to the finals but I do think there could be an argument made that he has been the more valuable player for the Lakers so far in the playoffs. Obviously they have both been great and are both essential to the Lakers winning.

I’m a little surprised with the Donovan hire. I would be interested in seeing the terms.

Think I would have preferred someone like Wes Unseld or Udoka. That said, watching a competent coach is gonna be a fun experience this year.
