Zach Lowe said in an article today that the Nuggets would love to win, Clippers need to win. Going to be a lot of problems if they blow a big series lead like this.

if the nuggets beat the clips tonight, am i crazy to say it’s worse for them/kawhi than the bucks losing in the same round was for the bucks/giannis?

    I don’t think so

  4. Easily imo.

Kawhi went there to win titles (and on paper this team should’ve smoked EVERYONE). If they lose this team looks pretty different next year.

also Trez has hurt his stock so bad in this series going into F/A

It seems like the Bucks losing is just fast forwarding and moving on from the Bledshow. We know Bud is safe for now (which I still don’t think he’s getting them over the hump but oh well)

  5. Bucks losing becomes a non-issue to the fans if/when Giannis signs the super max.

If he leaves then yeah it’s worse for the Bucks lol.

yeah that’s what i’m thinking. also, while the heat are a 5 seed and nuggets are a 3 in a better conference, there’s something that feels more weird about losing to unknown commodities like most of the players on the nuggets vs. the guys the heat were led by

No the two seed losing in 7 to the three seed is not worse than the one seed getting gentlemans swept by the 5 seed, stop it.

We can't go from it being offensive in here to suggest the Bucks aren't the title favorite to it being actually not surprising they got blasted by the Heat cause their roster sucks, not gonna do it

Yeah, I’d say bucks loss is worse. Bucks have the 2 time MVP and defensive player of the year, another solid all star in Kris, as well as 3 guys that made an all defensive team this year and they only won one game against a 5 seed. Also Bucks had the best record in the NBA this year.

  9. I think it's all bad and both seasons are disappointing for both teams (if LAC loses tonight)

i think it's more disappointing for the Bucks because it's just piled on to what happened last season too, but Clips losing is not something people are going to just not talk about.

    Nope. Supporter

I'm not sure which is worse, but I will say, I think it's a pretty accurate take to think most who follow the NBA took/take the Heat more seriously (as the 5 seed) than the Nuggets (as the 3 seed in a tougher conference.) Jimmy Butler is seen/covered as a bigger star than anyone on the Nuggets, so I think it would be more of a shock if the Nugs top the Clippers, if we're comparing the two series.

  12. I just want Clippers to lose so that media can focus on that for a little bit instead of Giannis and his FA haha

i don't think that will happen, if they lose tonight the media will spend a day on it and then shift immediately back to Giannis and the never-ending narrative that is him leaving lol

  14. You’ll get stuff about Doc Rivers and PG for about two days. The off season for the NBA will be dominated by Giannis talk.

Its definitely worse for the Bucks, but a Clippers loss would be more consequential I think.

If the Clippers lose what is the likelihood the storyline would be “Clippers need Giannis and will do what they need to get him”? Worst of both worlds.

Didn’t morey say something like “the sixers would be a dream job” a few years ago?

the clippers were equal title favorites, if not more favored, than the bucks and they could lose to a team more unproven than the heat that has never been remotely close to as successful after kawhi left a better team that just won a ring to link up with paul george

we can say it lol. you don't have to, that's fine

kawhi gonna drop 80 and eliminate the nugs himself to make this a moot point :cringe:

yep, and PG is a much more talked about/established #2, that kawhi left a team fresh off a championship to play with, than Middleton is
