The games were boring and virtually all blowouts. You’re not gonna get random people to like the Bucks by just throwing them on different times. I also don’t think Giannis’ game translates to Superfans like Currys did. That was much watch entertainment, and no one was saying the NBA couldn’t market players while everyone was watching Golden State warm up. If they win it all this year, they’ll probably get better times next year. (Before Giannis leaves.)

I think Giannis’ game translates super well at least to younger fans - my wife’s best friend’s 11 year old switched from being a Curry fan to a Giannis fan over the past year or so (obviously Curry’s injuries play a role)

Also if the Bucks win it all Giannis isn’t leaving lol

 

NBA can’t market its players as we drool over Zion playing ten games in New Orleans.

kids love giannis. every time i go to see the bucks in brooklyn or the garden there are kids in bucks jerseys with their parents repping the knicks or nets.

 

I mean he (Giannis) has the second best selling jersey in the league and a current like 100% fav rating from everyone. The only people complaining about this while every fan wants him on their team and as he’s widely adored are dorks like Ben that just wanna anger tweet. He’s wildly popular.

 

Or maybe he’s marketed so much he’s currently the most widely known and loved player in the NBA beyond LeBron and Bucks fans are salty and irrational.

I just can’t fathom having your star player be universally praised as the best player in the league, win soon to be multiple MVPs and individual awards and be talked about as the favorite to win the title all year and then saying “I’m salty about the lack of respect.”

Also I really don’t like Ben. Haha. Part is raging jealously and part is his libertarian side mixed with his wild hot takes on sports makes me cheer for his unhappiness. :-D
