Haven't spent a whole lot of time with this, but here's my first attempt at playing around with Trade Machine.

Embracing the run-and-gun (and fun!) in Philadelphia:
76ers get: Eric Gordon, Zach LaVine, Wendall Carter Jr., Coby White, Kenny Atkinson
Bulls get: PJ Tucker (expiring), Patrick Beverley, Joel Embiid + at least $40 million in cap room for 2021 free agency
Clippers get: Cristiano Felicio (expiring), Lauri Markkanen (expiring) + more cap flexibility for 2021 free agency
Rockets get: Al Horford (assuming they get to a point where a team with bigs actually punishes them inside; what are you doing, OKC + Steven Adams?)

Sixers would still have to make some moves to clear up the guard logjam among the reserves (Milton/Korkmaz/Thybulle) and get another quality big or two. Also, I doubt that the Rockets would want to exchange the $12 million or so difference between Horford/Gordon over the life of their contracts, but hey, wishful thinking.

That being said, I'm not convinced they need to split up Embiid/Simmons. A new coach (Atkinson or someone else who's competent, please) who holds Simmons accountable for his shooting and Embiid for his fitness combined with a more well-constructed supporting cast could get them to actually compete with the top-tier teams in the East. I could see Embiid requesting a trade, though.

The best fit for Horford might actually be Houston tbh. But that contract still sucks.


As for Philly, I don’t think Embiid will ask to get out but it wouldn’t shock me. Teams would literally line up to try and get him.
