Hate these what ifs but I think so too

 

This is the first bubble game I've watched for the 6ers and good lord are they a mess. Or at least in these final few minutes.

 

Sixers wind up in a Tables Ladders and Chairs match with Simmons in this series.

They’re just an incredibly poorly constructed roster and they seem to hate each other.

 

You're absolutely right. Simmons would definitely help on the defensive end, but the roster construction is so bad.

This series is as much a mismatch of front offices and coaches as the talent on the court.

Anyway, congratulations to Boston. As a Sixers fan, it's tough to like a Celtics team, but I'll definitely be pulling for guys like Kemba and Jaylen Brown as these playoffs progress.

 

That game was horrible.

 

It’s shocking how mismanaged that team has been. Hope Embiid can get out. Had a bad last couple minutes but was the sole reason they were in the game.

 

Also, I think Tobias greatly benefits from having Simmons in the lineup. The fact that his contract is the third-highest in remaining value is obviously ridiculous, but I'm not convinced they need to move on from him.

As I've repeatedly said, though, Al Horford can still be a good NBA player (again, on a bad contract) in a different system.

 

I’d love both of those players on any other team

 

They are poorly constructed for sure, but I still think they could have beaten Boston in this series. Too much size for Boston to handle, and Simmons would bring some much-needed playmaking that the Sixers are desperately missing. Oh well. I think it’s probably best for the sixers to make some serious changes, so it’s probably a net positive that they lose this series.

 

Not to mention Simmons would do a great job guarding Tatum. Ugh. Could’ve been a fun series
