The thing is while I believe it was in, I can come up with scenarios and do some real 70 level chess to say it wasn't completely over the line For example, what if that was some snow the puck was on leaving just a sliver of it over the redline but we can't see it because of the snow? Now, if that's a line of thinking someone in toronto had to go through to disallow the goal...well...this league is the stupidest.
I think part of the issue was it was never called/signaled a goal on the ice? Not denying they got hosed.
Damn, good job Caps. Looked when it was 2-0 and assumed they'd blow the lead again, pleasantly surprised that they didn't.
Okay so I didn't watch it obviously but whatever. Reverse that call and take away the empty netter and the math still says the Caps won
More concerned with Tom Wilson being allowed to head hunt someone from behind with no penalty and most likely no repercussions. That looked like a good goal, but more worried about the absence of our top 2 defensemen next game. Prove me wrong NHL. Wilson definitely doesn’t apply for the superstar treatment haha.
I’m seeing this float around as defense of the no goal call, but if that’s what Toronto is looking at then the NHL should probably socialize it....
Lol ya the same thing happened to the Flames in 04 on the Gelinas no-goal. I genuinely believe that's what happened tonight too, all of those images look the same. Science > my idiot eye.
haha ok, go find the tweet definitively showing it was on the ice. That's the only reason you can justify disallowing it. Let's say you're not sure it's on the ice, then you again have to disallow it. This fucking league.
Hate to have to lean this way on the call. But that video is convincing. They need to say if that was the reason, but what does the ref skate out and say? "No goal because of parallax angle?" Haha
