Drove to Brandon to watch the Lightning practice (props to the arena being booked for some butt rock show tonight) and stayed to catch a little of the Devils practice too. Lightning were definitely relaxed out there, lots of laughing and smiles (Girardi getting razzed after taking a puck to the "upper thigh" was a highlight) while the Devils were in super serious mode.

Can't wait for tomorrow and if I get hit by a puck I promise not to sue anyone.

 

It would be pretty neat of the Preds to score a Big Mac goal (an actual fan promo) against The Hamburglar tonight. That would be a goal within the last five minutes of the second period.

Scott Hartnell in the lineup tonight, because I don’t know. The fourth line could use some prayers right now.

 

Hartnell is a guy I never really appreciated until he was gone. Kinda miss him.

 

He’s had a fine season, but the Avs bring the speed. He and Fisher on the same line against the Avs seems like an impending disaster, imo.
