can't believe people actually think that Vegas hasn't been in the league long enough to earn a chance at the cup.
jack adams for gallant gm of the year for mcphee conn smythe for fleury it is like everyone predicted
To win a cup you have to be great but you also have to be "lucky" (lack of better term) in a lot of areas. Vegas is playing their best hockey at the best time and the stars are aligning for them, but all that said it's built on a foundation of them being a great hockey team.
That's my two cents anyways, which I think considering some of the takes I've posed in the past doesn't make it worth that much haha.
He had a couple rough years in a row there if I'm recalling correctly. Pens/PGH fans are notoriously hard on players and look for anyone to blame, but nevertheless he got a reputation for not being a post-season guy. Most of which not his fault but he did get chased from the net in '13, but that's about it. PGH doesn't have their second cup without him and he is having a hell of a resurgence. I love the guy, but the takes that the pens should have kept him over Murray are a bit disingenuous for the most part.
I guess I would have to see him stacked up against his competitors to really make that call, but I kinda agree.
I heard a stat that said the Caps are 1-8 in any series in which they started 2-0 in the series. Is that stat true? Haha
