I really like the idea of Rudolph sitting behind TB12 for a year or two. I know almost nothing about Falk lol.
Look I have already moved on to the acceptance stage of grieving the near future of the Bills franchise. I am ready.
So, after I've had the night and had time to articulate my frustration a little better, here it is: The reason I'm upset is that big name guys like the Darnolds, Rosens etc can be busts. We've seen it happen before. Sometimes the experts are wrong on whether or not someone will be great in the NFL. However, usually if someone says someone isn't going to be great, most times they're right. We've seen them be much more accurate with that in my opinion. Having said that, It doesn't do me any good to wallow in sorrow for the next 3-5 years when he'll be our QB. I'll root for him and Bills. I'd love for him to be fantastic. I'm just not confident in that, I hope he proves me wrong beyond belief.
Thats the thing, you cant get too attached to player / team connections. Half of them are just a story to keep you entertained before the draft. When you look at this without pre draft bias, Vea at 12 is an awesome fuckin pick for any team that wants to play better defense. Especially since TB already has a 3 tech
Mayfield didnt really have pro concepts in his offense. Pro style rushing attack absolutely. Pro style passing? Nah. Main thing I like about him is his arm is very accurate tbh. That shows up consistently on tape, more so than a lot of first round QB. His ball placement is money. But mentally he's not as prepared for how many small decisions hes gonna have to make at one time at the pro level, as Darnold/Rosen are. He mostly ran half field shit, lots of "flood" playcalls and a lot of misdirection, barely ever had to anticipate a throw or account for the other side of the field.
Me too. He apparently said "There were nine mistakes ahead of me"... fuck yeah dude, go get it. He doesn't have the wins but he throws with anticipation routinely, and that's the golden nugget for me whether I dig a QB prospect or not. Wasnt always on point with the timing of course, he did throw too many picks, but the fact that he already practices anticipation and makes it a habit bodes well for his NFL development
I don’t get why people are turned off by what he said. It was cheesy but better than the robot generic QB talk you usually get.
I can’t decide if it’d be a bad idea for Panthers to go RB in round 2. We’d be absolutely loaded on offense. But we really need some DBs.
So Pats have already fixed the OL and added a perfect fit weapon. And they still have plenty of picks to address the defense.
