I’ve warmed up to Kirk as the pick but I’d still rather sign a WR in free agency and draft one of the OG or DB in round one.
There are much better prospects in this draft than 2013. 2013 had a lot of guys that weren't even that impressive in college and then Tavon Austin, who was impressive in college but absurdly overrated and not at all NFL ready. I don't know if any of these guys are WR1 but I feel a lot more confident in these guys being contributors four years from now than I was in 2013 with that class.
As happy as I am with Fournette, Barkley is like CLEARLY better haha saying this based on tape not the Combine. The athleticism is crazy but he's just really fucking smart also. His moves and angles are so well planned.
I don't think Fournette is quite on AP's level. Definitely has his strength and some of his moves, and honestly so explosive like it's surprising 4net can go from 0 to 100 instantly at his size. I also think he has better downhill speed, though not as agile. But he doesn't have that constant ANGER in his runs. He's a natural power RB and sheds tackles with ease, but I think sometimes he lets it come easy - if he ran with the same intensity and hunger as AP he'd be unstoppable. He certainly finishes runs when he knows he's getting tackled, but if he can stay upright he tries to slip tackles as cleanly as possible. Maybe that's not a bad thing at all, but I'd like to see less "let me try to get out of this" and more "FUCK YOU GET OFF ME". He has it in him sometimes and I wonder if we would see more of that arrogant, beast mode running with better blockers giving him confidence.
Oh yeah I know that was just how far I overanalyzed the question Do you not realize who you're talking to?
Calvin Ridley DJ Moore Courtland Sutton Deon Cain DJ Chark Jordan Lasley Michael Gallup Anthony Miller Daesean Hamilton It's a deceptively deep class.
I swear to god if Miami fucks this up and trades up with New York or Indy. Barkley 1st, Mayfield 4th. Let the poor sad Browns have this.
