I'm honestly starting to get scared (and excited) for this offseason. There was a bit of "going all-in" chatter a couple weeks ago and Rivera's combine presser kinda hinted at that too. Hurney is back in charge and it's been (loosely) reported that he feels pressured to have an instant impact due to new ownership coming in.
Lamar Jackson is too inaccurate to be a QB. But Josh Allen, who is more inaccurate, should go first overall. Ok.
I’m thinking Allen is accurate just because a Jags fan, who only sees inaccuracy, is saying otherwise.
What Bill Polian said about his height and an all-out position change is stupid, but using passing stats to prove that he’s a quarterback is pretty dumb too. Guys like Brad Smith, Denard Robinson, and Antwaan Randle El had good passing numbers too. Randle El and Smith did it before the spread and air raid were big in college football as well. I think Jackson is a quarterback and a very good one, but if I’m a team with an established QB, I’d like to see if he could help me at another position because he’s an elite athlete.
Fuck it Browns take Barkley at 1 and whatever QB is there at 4 be it Rosen, Darnold, Mayfield, Jackson or someone not named Allen.
Idk why you’d take Barkley at 1. NYG seems like a lock to take a QB and IND seems like a lock to take Chubb
I don't know why Indy would be a lock to take Chubb. NYG and Indy both may also trade down. Barkley is by far the best RB available. Mayfield is not the most sought after QB. Take the guy who is of higher risk of being taken after you. That's Barkley. Hell, NYG could take him too.
I'd rather take the QB we want first and chance it on Barkley. As much as I love him, we all know RBs can be found all over the draft.
NYG/IND both desperately need Barkley. Neither want Mayfield (nor does anyone looking to trade up). Seems like the easy move to me.
What's the point of working him out as a WR though? Someone is going to take him round 1 as a QB. So is a team going to draft him round 1 to play WR? Because that's the only way they'd get and that'd be really dumb. Randle El and Robsinon were also barely 6 feet tall. Jackson is 6'3". Yeah, he needs to add a little muscle but size shouldn't be a concern with him.
Stronger than Joe Thomas, quicker than Desean Jackson, faster than Devin Hester, and a higher jump than Julio Jones. I swear to fucking god if I have to deal with him on the Colts I'm gonna shave Randall's head and make you all deal with that. Take him first overall not just because it's the smart thing to do but also because fuck the Colts.
The Giants should be deciding between Nelson and Barkley. I really don’t know which I’d take if I were Gettleman. An offense with OBJ, Barkley, Shepard, Engram would be plenty of weapons for Eli. But the OL would still stink. They could take Nelson at #3 and then take the best RB in round 2 and probably be better off.
