I would fully endorse Baker Mayfield for QB of the Browns if he's not on that list because he's going to the opening night of Avengers: Infinity War.
Posted this in the main thread but this guy did a lot of number crunching for the QBs in the draft Just goes to show that Mayfield is awesome and Allen is not https://d3d2maoophos6y.cloudfront.n...143754/2018-Contextualized-Quarterbacking.pdf
Baker Mayfield was an awesome Air Raid QB. That doesn’t make him a better NFL prospect than Josh Allen.
I’ve been convinced that the Browns should take Chubb at #4 if he’s there. Chubb/Garrett combo could be deadly for a long-time. And on pass rushing downs Chubb can slide inside with Ogbah on the outside. They’d have deep talent. Just grab one of the other RBs at 33 or 35. Any of those guys combined with Hyde will be great. 1. Darnold 4. Chubb 33. Guice/Michael/Johnson/Jones 35. Harrison Phillips
I just want the Browns to get it right. Flip the script in the AFC North and take it from Pittsburgh and Baltimore.
Guice is probably a 1st rounder. If The Steelers don't take him then someone like the Colts will trade up. That's the only issue there. Pass on Barkley and their next pick becomes VERY transparent.
I’d be super surprised if Pittsburgh doesn’t got ILB first round. LBs are the historically most valued position by the team by far.
I don't think they could go wrong with Barkley or Chubb. I'm just saying if they want a RB, Chubb could limit their options.
This (with different numbers) is how I felt about the Colts draft when they were still at 3. Hopefully the Browns act like the Browns and don’t do this, so that the Colts still can.
Also, I could be wrong, but the Colts’ offseason strategy has basically been to fill as few holes as possible in FA, so I don’t think Ballard is going to give up picks to move up since they have so many holes to fill still.
I think they win out either way. My new consideration is that they can improve WRs by taking Barkley because Duke could become a De'Anthony Thomas-type where he's playing more WR as Hyde/Barkley run wild. Still, Chubb would be nice. I still think people are really underrating Emmanuel Ogbah though. He did well in his first season, which had pretty much no other pass rushers on the line. Last year, we got very little of him and Garrett together, but he was one of our best defensive players before the foot injury knocked him out for almost half the season. Gotta get back to the 90s days. They really amped up the sadness when the Browns were gone a couple of years.
Insider2Text by HeheStreams @Fucking Dustin the Texans somehow had one of the best drafts and I am furious. I also despise this Jags draft with every fiber of my being. And the Patriots draft is legit perfect. I hate ESPN.
I would be furious. Guice on the Colts, Key on the Texans, and I get a fucking defensive tackle in the second round.
