Panthers had a visit with Nick Chubb. I think we’re going RB in round 2.

Round 1 will be OG or DB.

 

Michel is dope. I was hung up on his fumble rate until I saw that Alvin Kamara posted an abysmal rate in college as well. Michel's gonna be dope.

Panthers have been showing a lot of interest in Rashaad Penny. I'd be cool with that.

 

That would be a great spot for him. I'm not convinced he can be a starter but I think if he went to a team with a rotation he'll be dope.

 

A lot of good rbs in the draft makes me feel like if I’m the browns I get my QB first and see what happens with Barkley

 

I wonder if the Dolphins will trade up or another team will try to outrade them and move up as high as possible just in case to take a mayfield or someone like that

Their options are probably Barkley, Chubb or a trade at 4. I’m sure they’ll play it by ear, but everything's really dependent on what the Giants do. I'd almost put Chubb and Barkley at equal due to their signing of Hyde though. Of all irony, we're back at mostly needing a LT now, which was our biggest concern from '99 - '06.

 

I agree with the analysis, but I hope they consider Fitzpatrick more. I get Randall is a better fit at FS, but the idea of solidifying the back end with him and Peppers is intriguing. And then factoring in the position flexibility in terms of injuries. I still think there is a case, albeit smaller to take Minkah.

 

I like Fitzpatrick, but we have very little need for him. We have Carrie, Gaines, Boddy-Calhoun, Taylor, Mitchell and Wilson all to check out at CB. Randall is better off at FS. There's plenty of flexibility there. They'd never pass over a great RB like Barkley or another dominant edge rusher to pair with Garrett for him. Even beyond that, I'd prefer them to trade down a little for McGlinchey or Ridley than take Fitzpatrick at this point.

 

I wouldn't consider Fitz at 4 either. Trade down and take Derwin if anything. But Fitz doesn't add nearly as much as Barkley or Chubb. Both of those guys make the Browns, in all honesty, kind of scary. Barkley/Hyde/Duke is a terrifying combo and Chubb would give them a very scary defensive line where the oldest player is in his second year.

 

I think that is ultimately the right thought process, but I would still keep him in the running in terms of doing workouts and pro days. I think they owe it to themselves to still go through the process and confirm going for positional need over talent in that case is the right move.

 

Yeah, I’m def thinking a QB and Chubb to pair with Myles and is a really successful day 1.

QB with 592,329 concussions and his time in Leach's air raid offense will absolutely translate into the NFL (not).

 

The blue chip talent in this draft is in the top six to eight picks. The talent drops off tremendously after that.

There is excellent depth at RB, CB, and especially the interior OL. Maybe WR. This class starts to get very weak after the Top 15 or so. Extremely top heavy.
