I love that the Jags are addressing both their immediate needs and their long term cost cutting needs. While also taking BPA in every single round, getting a prospect in rounds 2, 3 and 4 who could have gone 30 picks earlier These 4 picks have been ideal from all angles.
The answer folks, is apparently an extremely poor man's Shaq Thompson. Played hybrid LB-safety role for a couple of years and then moved to outside CB this past year. 40.5" vertical tho.
So the Cowboys trade for Tavon Austin, effectively negating the space they created by cutting Bryant. They JUST restructured Witten’s deal, giving him basically a retirement bonus on the way out after he apparently blindsided them with the news. THEN, the Eagles (who have Zach Ertz) trade up right in front of them to take the top TE in the draft, who was named after Dallas!AND THEN they send DAVID AKERS up to the podium in Dallas to troll them. GUYS DAVID AKERS
If the jets could finally get a good pass rusher they might have a really solid defense, maybe top 10
Overall I'm happy with the Browns draft. I feel like they got better on both sides of the ball, significantly improved the secondary, and got their franchise QB. I'm satisfied. 2-4 wins.
I don’t know much about the Panthers last two picks but.... Marquis Haynes - all-time sacks leader at Ole Miss. Jermaine Carter - lead Maryland in tackles three straight seasons. Those are good things. Excited to see how the develop. Neither will be pressured to play anytime soon. And both seem like they can make an impact on STs early in their career.
