I mean if he has a bench role then sure it doesn't hurt but (without knowing your system, I could be wrong) there have got to be way cheaper options that can give you comparable production. Cutch didn't suck last year but he was pretty ho-hum

 

I think I'm biased because I've always loved him, but I think he'll definitely help them.

 

truly fine with dealing Rosario, I really don't think he's going to pan out the way people thought he would. might be good to get out from under it now.

He will help. He is still a great hitter with meh fielding. Good for 3 WAR. Not bad. I just expected him to land in the AL, due to defense, but he's getting paid a little cheaper than he will produce, imo.

When WAR is going for $8-10M/1 win, he only needs to put up 6-7 WAR to "fulfill" his contract. Not a bad signing.

I don't think there is one right now. Maybe LAD but I'm not as convinced as most people that they're all-in on Harper.

Seems like Manny to NYY is becoming more likely though.

 

I really thought by this point we'd know who the main runners are for Harper, i thought by christmas we'd have a signing.

It seems completely up in the air for both of them, but i've been following Harper's more than Manny's Free Agency

my gut says he lands in LA or NY.

 

Lots of big FAs, and especially Boras clients, have waited until mid-January-ish to sign in the past. I say Manny signs the week between Christmas and NYE, Harper signs by MLK Day

 

Still 60-65 days until pitchers and catchers report for spring training. Plenty of time left for Boras to milk $ out of the market

McCutchen’s deal feels really fine and not bad at all. MLB Trade Rumors had him predicted to get 3yr/45MM, so super close to the actual deal

Plus, this move must get Hoskins out of the OF, which is also valuable

Also, Mets should give up Rosario and not Thor, if the deal is to happen

 

Also Schwarber isnt that bad in the outfield

 

Oh no, definitely not. I was gonna add that as a caveat but I was talking more generally. I think andujar will probably have a similar bat slump to his so maybe they want to trade him while his values this high.

 

Andujar should learn to take a damn walk!
