How do you vote for Andruw Jones and Scott Rolen over Todd Helton is beyond me.

 

I saw this and couldn't believe it. This is such a good deal for the Tribe.

 

And Larry Walker for that matter. And Bonds but not Clemens? Weird as fuck

 

also fuck curt schilling

 

so many baseball writers vote with biased opinions as well, i can't believe this is still how HOF gets determined

 

Also, FUCK Curt Schilling.

 

curt schilling should be a veterans committee vote in 30 yrs but i know he'll get in before his 10 yrs on the ballot is up

 

I genuinely don't think Curt is a hall of famer, even forgetting for a second that he's a bigoted fucking racist.

 

wait what he definitely had a HOF career

but i'd love if the bigotry kept him out and he doesn't get in for like 50 years

 

yeah schilling's numbers are absolutely HOF worthy, over 3k SOs, 3.46 career era, 1.14 WHIP

but still fuck him

its very funny that curt schilling tried to have a videogame named after and failed so hard that he now owes the state of RI like tens of millions of dollars

 

The first 9 years of his career range from bad to meh. Looking through his year by year, he only has 4-5 years where he's really good. Never won a Cy Young, was hardly ever even the best pitcher on his team. Idk, he just doesn't do it for me. 2004 was incredible, but i'm a meh on him.

 

I legit teared up driving home from work yesterday after the Goldy news broke. I cannot wait for the season to start. Gotta love the Red Birds!

 

His first season as a starter he put up 4+ WAR and was really good ever since. What are you basing this on? Curious.

 

How did Travis Hafner con his way onto the Hall of Fame ballot?

 

Okay sorry, I was looking at Baseball Reference and was counting his first years as a reliever.

 

I think all your have to do is play for 10+ years.

 

yeah i think anyone who played 10 years and has been retired for 5 years and been cleared by a committee who i imagine will pretty much let anyone who fits the first two criteria on, because, travis hafner is on it and so is jason bay lol

 

i am super biased against bay though bc i am a metropolitans fan
