Sometimes I forget Boston traded Shaw lol

What is the thought on like what the ceiling could be for Devers?

 

Well, as a prospect some people compared him to papi because he could hit so well but they thought he'd get bigger and lose his athleticism.

 

I can't tell if that's dry humor or seriousness. haha

Devers could be an every year All Star type player. People forget that he’s only 21 years old.

The Shaw trade looks bad in hindsight (especially with Thornberg getting hurt and barely pitching) but people forget he couldn’t hit LHPing in Boston so it looked like he was going to be a platoon player at age 26. He also played so poorly in the 2nd half of the 2016 season that he was benched for the playoffs. Give him credit the last two years he’s really played well for the Brewers. Happy for him, he seems like a good guy.

In OOTP, Devers had back to back 50+ homer seasons and MVPs. Clearly that is his floor and we shouldn’t question it even though the game had Mookie playing in Japan at 30
