On another note - went to see the Mets play the Marli s at Marlins Park last weekend and have to say it was one of the best stadiums I’ve been to in awhile. Could also be that my only other domed baseball experience was Tropicana Field, so the bar was pretty low.

But, paid $11 on stub hub for seats 9 rows from the field on the 1st base side.

every time I see Matt Chapman mentioned I think of that little league player who said he was his favorite player and also @Zoshchenko.

They could be the same person but we will never know.

It'd be nice if Bird could figure how to not slump quite as bad as he always does but today was his 164th game, just over a full season worth and counting last April when he tried to play with a bad foot. 31 hr and 94 rbi in that time and an OBP well over a hundred points higher than his average. Hopefully he gets some kind of consistency down cause it does get frustrating how lost he can look lol.

 

That's probably the only good that can come from all these injuries and lowered expectations
