smh that Brian-Doyle Murray doesn't get a mention as an actor in his own right.

 

I feel that Brian is more associated as being Bill's brother rather than an actor in his own right.

Molitor and Lovullo were the right calls. It's pretty much understood that at this point, MOY is the "who exceeded expectations the most" award...and yes, the Twins and DBacks are the answer.

You must have missed the news because Kluber did win it :)

 

Kluber was voted almost unanimously. I'm not saying Sale was bad. He definitely should've been #2, but he was not as good as Kluber this year.

It sucks that both sucked in the postseason.

 

I will preface by saying that Kluber winning is no robbery. I was just ribbing the Cleveland guys.

With that said, saying Sale wasn't as good as Kluber is just wrong. At best, its splitting hairs.



Its so close, you can't really say either one is better. I think Kluber won because he was on the better team, better W/L ratio, and lower ERA. He won all the old school stats. Him being unanimous is ridiculous.

 

sale had it but unfortunately down the stretch he wasnt AS dominant as kluber. Kluber was deserving.

 

I think the Fangraphs just comes down to the minor injury Kluber had that led to 3 less games than Sale. Kluber had a bit better defense on the field, which shows in that WAR a bit, but the RA9-WAR just shows that Kluber was much better at preventing runs. Ultimately, he just dominated way more, with 5 CG and 3 SHO to Sale's 1 CG and no SHOs. Pretty much every stat (even advanced) was Kluber #1 and Sale at #2 and they were both extremely great this year.

In all irony, it was probably the Tribe that caused less of a debate for Sale -- 2 G, 8.0 IP, 14.63 ERA, 8 Ks, 4 BBs, .385 avg against him.
