Indianapolis selects Kalen Ballage, RB, Arizona St I’m torn between Ballage and Royce Freeman here. Both are big, deceptively fast RBs who excel as pass catchers and I think both would do well in Reich’s up-tempo offense. I opted for Ballage because what he lacks in on field production, he makes up for in his measurables, and he has less mileage than Freeman.
If we table it, I’d rather wait a couple weeks before starting back up, rather than just a couple days. I’m fine with continuing too.
The Houston Texans select Hayden Hurst, TE, South Carolina Hayden Hurst is a versatile player which the Texans can use creatively in a Deshaun Watson misdirection based offense. With Fiedorowicz contemplating retirement due to Myles Jack's bath salt usage since arriving in Florida, and with the Texans addressing the offensive line and adding defensive backs in free agency, Hurst feels like a natural fit. While there is room for him to improve, he will work well in Bill O'Brien's 2 TE offense and will be able to contribute at a high level with Hopkins and Fuller stealing defensive attention.
At pick 69, the alright alright alright Saints select Equanimeous St. Brown, WR, Notre Dame. With Willie Snead and Brandon Coleman as RFA, the Saints will probably let them go. In Brown, they get a massive, but fast WR to pair with Thomas and Ginn. Given that 2 out of his 3 years in that offense were with DeShone Kizer, there's a good chance he'll be able to better prove himself with Drew Brees as his QB.
San Francisco 49ers select Parry Nickerson, CB, Tulane While the outside CBs are set with Sherman and Ahkello, they still need an upgrade in the slot. Love Nickerson's combo of speed, agility, and ball skills. Also has a great nickname.
The Denver Broncos select Malik Jefferson. Linebacking group took a hit the last few years. Adding a young, athletic dude who can pin his ears back and go at this point works for me.
With the 73rd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. The New England Patriots select: Geron Christian, OT, Louisville
San Francisco 49ers select Austin Corbett, OG, Nevada Even with the addition of Richburg, who will likely stay at C, 49ers need some help in the interior. Corbett showed flashes of dominance at the Senior Bowl, just needs to develop the consistency.
