Have any of you guys actually clicked that CBS Prospect Rankings? I never put any stock in them to begin with but good lord that is horrendous.
Courtland Sutton the 5th overall prospect lol. I'm upset that this person gets to move on with their life.
Round 2, Pick 34. - The New York Giants Select Ronald Jones, RB, USC Giants need a Running Back, and after missing Barkley in the first round, they get their man early in the second. Notes from scouting report below... Runs with "desired level of calm in the face of oncoming traffic. Trusts blocking development and hides cut intentions until the last second. Plays with light, electric feet that are dynamic in tight quarters. Elite plant and acceleration. Loose hips able to make rare cuts as sharp as 90 degrees. Deadly stop-start to ruin linebackers trying to pace and mirror him. Can find side door out of traffic and to the outside track. Maintains top play speed and is able to string together moves on moves on moves.
At pick 35, the Cleveland Browns select Carlton Davis, CB, Auburn This draft is deep at CB, but I really do love Carlton Davis. He seems to be better in press coverage, so, with the Browns, he might look iffy since Gregg Williams doesn't run his much-more-effective man coverage as much as zone. Still, this is for the future. At the very least, he's good on run coverage, which the current regime runs often with the CBs. This really makes the Browns deep at CB with McCourty, Taylor, Boddy-Calhoun still around and Wilson set to debut, but I still love the long-term thought of Davis in there.
The Indianapolis Colts select Kolton Miller, OT, UCLA I would have preferred Williams, because his tackle/guard tweener position would have fit the Colts needs better, regardless of how they address the line during FA (they need guards most, but could fill RT too). But the Colts take best OL available here. Miller measures more as a traditional tackle, and best case, he develops into a top-tier LT and the Colts can finally move Castonzo to the right side. Worst case, he still should be an improvement over Denzelle Good and whatever else the Colts try to start at RT.
At pick 38, the Saints select Sam Hubbard, DE, Ohio State The Saints really need help with their pass rush and, luckily, Hubbard falls to them after trading back. Hubbard's boasts good awareness and form in his pass rushing and should be a great help to Cam Jordan in getting into the pocket.
Chicago Bears select - Billy Price, OG, Ohio State Bears need to bolster their offensive line. Price is easily the best available and fills their biggest need on the line.
Not in a good spot to provide a write up/justification so I’ll provide it later but the Eagles select Sony Michel, RB, Georgia
