With the 31st pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama the Dolphins LB play last year was among the worst in the league. Pairing Evans with redshirt rookie Raekwon McMillan should change that in a hurry.
And Pats fans across New England lose their mind again. "How can Bill build a Super Bowl team with no first-round talent even though he's done it five times already!"
I like how so far we've had Buffalo trade with Miami, Miami trade with New England, and New Orleans trade with Tampa Bay.
Belichick has traded with everyone though, except the Jets Fun fact the last time the Patriots and Jets traded was for Bill Belichick (I'm pretty sure)
Yeah, Bill def doesn't give a shit about in-division or not. He handed the Bills Drew Bledsoe. Edit: I shouldn't say he doesn't give a shit. I'm sure it's in the equation, i just don't think it's ever a dealbreaker if he likes the deal otherwise.
Trade Announcement: The Philadelphia Eagles Trade Pick 32 to the Denver Broncos for Pick 40 and Pick 109.
Round 1, Pick 32 - The Denver Broncos Select Donte Jackson, CB, LSU Adding to a talented defense, and replacing Aqib Talib with arguably the fastest player in the draft. Plenty of makeup speed. LSU has produced quality Cornerbacks recently as well. @Blimp City Hero is up to start the second round.
To start off the 2nd round at pick 33, the Cleveland Browns select Justin Reid, S, Stanford Reid is immediately an upgrade at FS for the Browns. They need a little more refining from Gregg Williams' defense to not leave the safeties just hanging back deep, but Reid has been able to show he's good in zone and man coverage. His main problem is he'll get a little overzealous in making a play, but they can try to refine that while building a potentially great safety tandem with Jabrill Peppers.
Eagles willing to trade down more more time. I own #40 and #47. Willing to move either but not both based on offer.
I'll be on the road for work most of today so if I'm not back in time for the Bengals pick at #46, you guys can all fight over the right to be Mike Brown for a day. Otherwise, take the highest rated corner left at that point.
Admittedly I forgot Bradley Roby existed. That being said, most defenses don't spend too much time in their base defense so having 3 strong CBs is fine by me. Helps the pass rush.
