Woof. Daniels was a target. #22 is also available. I am wrapping up at work now, should be home by 5:00 and will pick then. Will check for trade offers as I can until then.
Bills are trading #22 to the Titans. Confirming the deal one more time and will edit the post after, but @enlliac is on the clock
Titans trade picks 25, 89 & 125 to the Buffalo Bills for picks 22 & 96. With the 22nd overall pick, the best team in the AFC south selects Will Hernandez, OL, UTEP I think Hernandez is the best guard in the draft, and I didnt want anyone else to take him now that linemen are starting to go. He’ll make an immediate impact and should help Mariota have more time in the back and create huge holes for Henry
I also considered just taking him at 22, especially after seeing who NFL.com gave him as a player comp (Incognito)
Can we stop talking about the AFC South. We won't have the classic Titan/Jag color rush game this year and it's making me sad.
Round 1, Pick 23 - The New England Patriots Select Rashaan Evans This was a tough pick between Evans and Vander Esch but i have to give the edge to Evans because he comes from a system Bill knows and loves, has a little more versatility and does a better job shedding blocks.
Carolina Panthers select Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama Carolina gets their guy without having to trade up this time. While I still love DJ Moore, Ridley is the best receiver in this draft and I'm not sure why he is starting to drop in most mock drafts. Ridley has an incredible combination of speed and route-running ability. He will create more separation than any other receiver in this draft and that is something Carolina has been missing for a long time. Cam is constantly having to throw into tight windows. That changes with a receiver like Ridley. Many complain he had a drop off in production in his final season at Alabama but he still finished 2nd in school history in receptions and receiving touchdowns as well as 3rd in receiving yards. Despite playing with a mediocre QB he still put up impressive numbers. He has the talent to make an impact day one and could end up being the #1 receiver we've been searching for since the days of prime Smitty.
The Buffalo Bills select Leighton Vander Esch, LB, Boise State. The only hole anywhere near as gaping as QB on the Bills roster is LB. The depth last year was not good to being with, and now Preston Brown has moved on to Cincinnati. Sean McDermott probably LOVES himself some LVE. No one is Luke Keuchly, but a super athletic Mike is a key to McDermott doing what he wants to do on defense. Matt Milano and Vander Esch is a whole lot of speed at LB. @buttsaywat Do the Dirty Bird
Atlanta Falcons select: Taven Bryan, DT, Florida Underrated DT, he'll be a nice addition to a rush defense that was straight garbage last year.
The Bills got Leighton and Baker. It sounds like a couple that led a west south central version of Laguna Beach.
