Reasoning is still the same but the value is better. We need a LB who goes through, not around. One who can stack and shed blocks against power offenses, which is a weakness for both Telvin Smith & Myles Jack. Scales plays excellently in a crowd and navigates down blocks naturally, he also doesn't overcommit and stays ready to redirect when the RB counters. Hes a natural for the Sam backer role. Well rounded player also who can sack the QB, also with disciplined eyes and great understanding of when to pass off routes in zone coverage.
