The two time super bowl winning Cleveland Browns select Orlando Brown, OT, Oklahoma Even with the worst combine of all time, a lot of people have Brown going to the Ravens at 16. The fact that he’s still here at 52 means we basically HAVE to take him at this point. Not like we have much else going on at the tackle positions
The Buffalo Bills select Anthony Averett, CB, Alabama. Similar theme here, pro comp on NFL.com is Tre White. Vontae Davis is on a one year deal so this could be a learning year for him to get coached up a bit before starting next year.
The Chiefs select Isaiah Oliver, CB, Colorado The Chiefs are rumored to be interested in trading up for a CB. Rather than dropping draft capital, they get lucky and Oliver falls into their laps
Carolina Panthers select Hayden Hurst, TE, South Caolina At this point he’s great value. Panthers have been looking for a better TE2 for a few seasons and Hurst could be the answer. Ridley and Hurst would be solid additions to the offense. Cam is happy.
Seattle Seahawks select Dante Pettis, WR, Washington Pettis stays in the Seattle area. And he’s a perfect fit for Wilson and the Seahawks. Like the Panthers, Seattle needs weapons on offense. Guice and Pettis would be an ideal outcome.
The team that beat the Jaguars twice this past season selects Terrell Edmunds, S, Virginia Tech The Titans need someone to stabilize their secondary, and Edmunds could do just that. He’s overlooked partly due to his brother, but Edmunds could become a ballhawk. I’m sure Vrabel could find a way to make him a better tackler, which is his only fault
Nothing in football has me more torn than whether or not Vrabel is good at making players better tacklers. On one hand, as a DC we had a terrible tackling unit. On the other hand, as a LB coach he helped Clowney and Mercilus make amazing strides and all our LBs were excellent at tackling through his tenure even as DC. I'm really curious to see how he does as HC.
Yeewhoops. Read it too quick or mixed it up because I think @CarpetElf is talking out his ass sometimes too. haha... @buttsaywat we're mentioning you twice!
I know this would never actually happen this way, but I love the idea of collecting all those 3rd round picks. Makes up for the Vance Donald trade being a bit of a whiff
I don’t think any of the top tier LBs will be around by Pittsburgh’s pick. So it made sense to stock up for second and third round.
It's okay. I'm just joking around. We've done almost 2 rounds in 2 days, so I'm okay with our pacing. haha
Atlanta Falcons select: Anthony Miller, WR, Memphis Solid 2-3 WR for this team. Julio's health is always a question, this provides some depth.
