At pick 10, the Oakland Raiders select: Tremaine Edmunds, OLB, Virginia Tech



Tempting pick all over for the Raiders, but Edmunds would be a great fit for their LB corps. They have needs inside and on the weakside and, really, he could take over any role. Ultimately, I think he could help rush the passer or help in coverage, making him a great pick to throw off opposing offenses for years to come.

with the 11th pick in the 2018 NFL draft, the Miami Dolphins select Derwin James, Safety, Florida State



the Dolphins have made some sweeping changes this offseason and its clear that they are looking for "alpha dog" players that live and breathe football. No one fits that bill from this draft more than Derwin James. James is a defensive weapon...he can cover, he can blitz, he can tackle, and he can make plays. That is what the Dolphins need on defense.

The Cardinals are kind of fucked here. They are safely at the end of the premiere talent and find themselves in a bad spot. Their roster is utter shit so it would be best for them to trade down. But, failing at that, they'll need to load up on their offensive line and make sure they are ready to service a future franchise quarterback. In the meantime, McGlinchey helps David Johnson do his job. The Cardinals are headed in a re-build. Best to groom a player like McGlinchey in this situation.
