Next time we do this we should institute it being possible for a team to miss their pick Not sure what kinda guidelines we'd do for that though
Falcons select Harrison Phillips, NT, Stanford They just lost Dontari Poe and they need someone else to swallow double teams, to make space for Jarrett and the edge rushers. Phillips is a bit undersized, but that plays in his favor as a former wrestler who understands leverage and how to use his center of gravity. He made a ton of plays against the run at Stanford, has regular gap discipline, and shows a ton of activity / second effort on the line, hardly ever getting washed out to one side when the RB counters. NT don't really get drafted high but to me this is a great bargain for the late second round.
49ers select Josh Sweat, Edge, Florida State Wanted to change it up this time, but 49ers desperately need outside pass rush and I think Sweat is a steal here. He ticks all the boxes with outstanding length and athleticism, the only thing that held him back in his college career was playing in a scheme that asked him to play inside and be a run first player. Unusual to get a pass rusher with this much potential at this point in the draft, so not going to pass him up. @JRShoenberger Steelers
Sorry guys. Had a work fundraiser tonight. Steelers select Equanimeous Tristan Imhotep J. St. Brown - WR - Notre Dame As their obligatory wideout pick they make every year. St. Brown has some work to do but he runs smooth routes which Colbert and Tomlin love with their receivers. He’s also the quick big body hay Big Ben loves. Bryant isn’t going to be resigned next year, and this may even free up a trade for him.
Randall picks my motherfucking man. Jacksonville Jaguars select DJ Chark, WR, LSU The Jaguars receiving core is poor and one dimensional. Adding Moore and Chark turns this squad into a dangerous one. Chark is one of the best athletes in the draft at the position and could be the one to replace Robinson's big play potential while Moore gives the Jags a consistent and reliable receiver, something they've been lacking. There are other needs to address, but the Jags certainly aren't above drafting two receivers at once when it's this big of a need. Geaux Jags.
