since I hate preseason that sucks because that is basically a free break until the regular season

The Domis are a multi-generational plague on Canada. I would trade Max for a refugee straight up any day, secure in the knowledge they would be a better person and centre than he ever could

Yeah, I really undervalued the theoretical refugee, but I was going for conceptual symmetry with the Galchenyuk trade

Seriously though, using a refugee as a rhetorical device isn’t a good look and puts me in the same category as Domi, so you’re right

lol they did not look like an NHL team last night.

edit: just looked at the jets preseason roster and it's pretty much the moose.

Neuvirth aggravated a groin injury. The start to this season is gonna be rough.

I like the Ducks third even though I do prefer the white one from the movie. It’s still pretty close to the other kit from that era. Not sure where I stand on the Jets third. Definitely digging the Flames third.

Love the Ducks third. You'll be able to see all the og MD jerseys as warm ups in certain home games of the season this year too.

With all these third jerseys I like the new designs a lot more than just bringing back a classic design. Even though the Jets one is just a word mark, its still a well designed one imo. My only exception is the Jackets jersey. The cannon is sick.

I feel like Philly always goes for mediocre / injury prone goaltenders, and it always causes a headache for them much more than it would cost them to acquire a legitimate starter another team dangles. There have been a number of solid starters available over the last decade, and they somehow ended up with Neuvirth/Elliott/Mason/Emery(rip), as well as obviously Bryzgalov who was the big swing and a miss they went for. I know they have some solid goalie prospects right now and it’s technically smarter to develop your own star rather than pay up for a talented guy, it is still kind of bizarre to me that despite repeatedly having mediocre goalies in net, they never seem willing to really pay up for a guy who will add legitimate stability back there.
