I apologize, yeah, my comments came from other tweets speculating there was an issue within his family. It does look like he just wants to be closer to home and plans to keep working for Tampa, which is cool. I’m sure it does mean Stevie comes back.

The positive for Tampa fans is that Yzerman did a pretty good job in locking important players down on good deals for a long time. That core is set, even if they have a different GM.

 

Coming from someone with the man's number tattooed on me, I'm definitely taking an "X-Files like conspiracy" stance on this. Even though I know it's not going to happen, I'm going to act like it is.

Wow, the season opener is almost just a month away. It seems like the season ended yesterday

 

He's been a weirdly different coach in Columbus than in the past. Part of it is bobrovsky being so lights out when healthy. Plus he has his son dubinsky there. If he gets Callahan somehow he would never leave.

 

I'm still annoyed at all this "he's coming home" stuff but this genuinely made me laugh
