It depends on a lot of situations. If they can convince Trouba to stay long term, I bet Myers walks. If they don’t convince him to stay, maybe they focus on getting Myers signed and trade Trouba? Alternatively, maybe move Buff for a cheaper / younger dman and other assets, and try to keep the other two.

On offense, if I’m running the team I would look to see what I could get for Perrault. Quality hockey player, but that’s 4 million dollars you can use to keep Wheeler/Laine/Connor.

If Laine wasn’t so damn good this wouldn’t even really be a problem but the guy is going to get a huge salary boost. Honestly, if Myers/Wheeler aren’t looking to get a large bump in pay, you could potentially make it work to keep all of them... I just feel like they’re going to have to move a contract out regardless.

 

I'm also scared too because if Trouba gets 5.5M Morrissey is going to want equal or more and he's damn worth it.

Hamhuis will be a nice addition to the 3rd defensive pair.
