First and a prospect would be bad because them adding Skinner probably means playoffs. I don’t want a late first for him.

 

I don’t think we get to the playoffs next year even with Skinner. We r bad and the division is good

 

I would do Faulk and Skinner for Saad and a minimal add

 

I wouldn’t hate that but I think we could get more if we deal them separately.

Saad-Aho-Teuvo on top line looks nice though.

 

that's why I was confused with this sudden push especially since Crawford is still unknown but I guess they gotta squeeze whatever they could out of that roster

 

The Hawks are banking so much on Crawford being healthy next year and it's a terrible plan considering nobody knew what was wrong with him while he was out.

 

I mean, I think he spent the better part of the last half year seeing the outer realms of the galaxy from his last concussion.

 

I have to wonder what exactly could be expected of Chicago when it comes to the goaltending position for next year. They already invested $6 mil in Crawford out of the gate, and the other financial obligations are well documented. I think Ward makes a ton of sense because he has averaged 55 games / year over the course of his career, and played over 60 just two seasons ago.

I realize Ward's statline is pretty mediocre, but I think it's safe to say they are much better suited in net going into 2018-19 than they were in 17-18, if Crawford is to go down with a major injury again.

If there's one thing I love and envy about Chicago, it is that Bowman isn't afraid to make a bold trade that extends his team's chances at winning the cup. I have no doubts that they'll pull off something interesting between now and the start of the season.
