TVR is a solid 3rd pairing guy. Getting more money than I expected but we won’t be anywhere near the cap so it’s whatever.

Every move being made makes it seem more likely that Faulk is traded but Waddell doesn’t seem to be in a hurry.

He’s been good here so far. He’s been brutally honest at times, but he has been willing to adjust his style to today’s game. The only player issues he has had here have been when someone gets scratched like Johnson did last year after the Cole trade and that’s expected frustration for any team. Even his rant and Jarmo’s tone to the Pittsburgh stuff was correct as Johnson re-phrased his comments. Those two have been together with team USA so nothing is really strained there.

If Duclair comes in and works hard, produces in his role, he’ll be fine. If not, someone else will beat him out. He is on a low risk deal similar to Sam Gagne two seasons ago. It’s all upside for the Columbus.
