I think my favorite thing about Ranger fans is their inability to realize the Isles and Rangers are equally unsucessful.

 

Vancouver really does have a disgusting prospect pool. Pettersson / Hughes / Demko is one of the best C/D/G prospect trios in the league. Then Boeser, Horvat, Juolevi (who I'm still holding out hope for) plus top picks the next 2-3 years, they're gonna be absolutely fearsome before too long.

Unless Benning Bennings it.

Judd brackett has total control over all prospect/draft stuff

Benning has absolutely nothing to do with those things, he's just a bumbling figurehead fool who linden was too afraid to get rid of because they're bffs. If he's still there after the next 3yrs when all these kids are probably up it's because they're moving to Oklahoma City or because he magically got good at his job.

 

I think my favourite thing about hockey fans is the mentality that unless you win a stanley cup, you are equivalent to every other non cup winning team in terms of success.

IMO he should wait and play it out until at least the deadline... unless you get a really good deal you can't turn down. Lou thought their defense was fine, even though it clearly needed help but I imagine dubas is much smarter than that.

 

Sit on them while we wait to see how our D prospects develop, re-evaluate in 2, maybe 3 years, then if we still suck ass, get hosed in a Hall<->Larsson type deal. That's how I think it'll play out. Unless someone offers us something stupid for one of them.
