All that Hoffman stuff is gross obv but bringing it back to hockey...this is gonna destroy his trade value. Can't imagine any team taking him if he's gonna bring that trouble

Well maybe whoever signs voynov would take him, who knows.

 

Played for eight different teams in the nhl, one of a handful to have been on the rangers Islanders and devils. Oh and John tavares made him look like a beast.

 

I think with Voynov some team will spin it as an “off-ice distraction” which had nothing to do with hockey, and that he’s “learned his lesson”. We all know how much this morally bankrupt league loves a good redemption narrative. The Hoffman scenario is directly affecting the face of the franchise. That’s the only way teams will actively care about this shit, when it affects the product

Yeah, but I think you have to find a way to get rid of him by any means necessary when EK gets traded. Hoffman would get run out of town if EK gets traded

 

I wonder if a team will at least ask before trading for him, "will you dump your gf if we give you an extension?"

 

Muzzin is my darkhorse trade candidate for NJ

they probably can't pay both him and Doughty. Plus Shero drafted him when he was in Pittsburgh

 

Devils need a first pairing dman to be competitive, not worth wasting picks or whatever on depth guys.

 

Jake Muzzin is a top pairing DMan......

 

Will he have a Drew doughty in NJ?

 

he didn't even play with Doughty all that much this past year

 

I'm just saying he's never been the guy in LA's backline. Do you want your team to be the one where he is that guy.

last I remembered Muzzin was still a decent top 4 guy without Doughty.

 

Kings are going to have to trade a DMan at some point

Doughty is UFA next year, Muzzin and Forbort are UFA the following year

and they already have Phaneuf and Martinez
