Can't wait to see who the Sabres trade Ristolainen and #30 to
I'd rather have ristolainen than zaistev but hey
top 5 teams with most cap space taken up by 2 most expensive players heading into the 19-20 season with an expectation of the cap being $83M (and recent articles make it seem like it could only be $81M)
Toronto - 25.7.3% of cap
Edmonton - 25.3% of cap
Los Angeles - 25.3% of cap
Dallas - 23.3% of cap
Buffalo - 22.9% of cap
can make sense of why 3 of these teams is on here: Toronto has 2 top 5 centers, Edmonton has the best player in the game, Los Angeles signed their guys either before / during their cup runs. Dallas being this high was super fucking surprising.
i think Buffalo will have a lot of pressure on them this year, especially now with the Skinner extension. and i'm not saying it was a bad deal or they shouldn't have signed him, it would have been dumb not to get him locked up. you can't replace that production on a whim, but the fanbase is gonna squeal if they shit the season, complaining about the money being "wasted" on Skinner which is gonna suck to listen to.
Vegas certainly has to feel better about the contract they gave Stone after seeing what Skinner got today.
I didn't know the injury was that bad, he was who I was hoping would fall but now idk
sounded like a skate cut his tendon
I unsubbed the Stanley cup thread ahead of the bruins game 7 win
The off-season is almost here
karlsson stay with us
2nd in the SEL last year in 5 on 5 scoring at 19/20 years old
I now have 2 children named Jesper B
i love the oilers media
don't do it vancouver
LOL while that's definitely full of shit, I'm expecting plenty of terrible things,. Hopefully in 20 years they'll be competitive with a less trash owner and a totally different team.
hey @CobraKidJon are the Sharks gonna be able to sign all their guys?
Can we please have local boy Kevin Labanc?
This is fucking wild @MexicanGuitars @DeathOrGlory
not surprised. not sure how many teams would want to pay him 8M a year and he probably isn't gonna look / play as good as he does when he doesn't have Crosby, one of the best players ever, next to him. Minnesota trying to trade for him was fucking stupid and Pitt did them a favor.
I would take Phil the thrill for cheap
we need another top 6 winger somehow
Alberta is a different and dangerous ball game
honestly no clue. I think Sharks would want to keep Labanc and Meier but they have a hard on for Pavelski and idk his age and term worry me.
It is literally the this is fine meme
He doesn’t usually play with Crosby IIRC. Plus it’s not like he was a nobody who suddenly started scoring goals when he came to Pittsburgh. He was regularly posting 30+ goals with the likes of Tyler Bozak as his center. Also, Toronto retained salary so whoever trades for him is only on the hook for 6.8 million per year.
