Seeing dumb rumours on twitter that we traded trouba for kadri. Really hope that’s not true lol.

a) WPG has cap issues and that deal doesnt really solve them
b) Trouba doesnt want to play in Canada I thought?

 

To me Trouba for Ristolainen+ makes most sense unless they can get Johnson + Sergachev lol

 

That makes no sense, bolts wouldn't do that

 

I mean, there's literally been talk of those players being in the conversation, maybe not necessarily together but...

 

I haven't seen anything like that but if you have to trade sergachev to get rid of Johnsons deal, that's like.. really dumb.

 

I'm really interested to see what he goes for. I've seen a lot of Jets fans who think they're gonna get a treasure trove back

they want 6OA + Veleno as the starting point from the wings which is a big no way

Canes would probably do Johnson for Faulk with max retention if that was the only sweetener they had to put on the deal

 

Johnson to the canes would be fun, maybe if the bolts can move another bad contract elsewhere that would be a nice trade.

 

I'm thinking Callahan goes somewhere with a pick/prospect attached, idk how much more cap space they need for Point/whoever else though

 

It shouldn't be a ton because his deal is expiring but probably a 2nd and a maybe a late rounder plus a conditional future pick to a team with space could definitely happen.
