as someone who has primarily lived in raleigh their whole life, i’ve never seen the community as interested as they are now

I cannot bring myself to put 2006 behind me and openly cheer for the Canes to win games but I will absolutely cheer for them to dunk on Cherry continuously

 

Wheelers top 100 for the draft is very bad, yeesh. Pronmans better anyway.

 

Objectively I think a successful Carolina team does nothing but good for the league. Another southeast powerhouse for the next 5+ years akin to Nashville is a plus all around.

The 2005-06 Eastern Conference Finals: that time a guy in his 10th NHL season couldn't be bothered to get his scummy self a new set of shin pads and missed game 7 due to a staph infection.

Seriously I don't know if I will ever forgive Jay McKee for that. He wasn't the only guy injured, but his was the only one that was preventable. Dude had an open wound on his leg from a blocked shot and just kept throwing the same dirty equipment over it. He seriously could have made the difference. Instead the Sabres had to go 4 deep into their black aces. On defense.

Rory friggin Fitzpatrick, their #7 Dman all season, was the #3. I still hate everything about that game

 

His younger brother scored pretty much the exact same goal against Holtby in game 7 a few weeks ago. Those games took place exactly 10 years apart from each other.
