I saw someone make a joke on twitter that the Seattle team should be called the Rainy Knights and I can't stop thinking about it

SJ reminds me of Edmonton back in 05-06; both teams added an elite D-man to complement some of the best rosters in the league but dealt with horrific league-worst goaltending and underachieved in the regular season

But Edmonton added Roloson and crushed the WC until he got injured and their goaltending fucked them over again, SJ chose to do nothing and dip out of the playoffs early instead

 

tbf in 05-06 markkanen came in and played pretty damn well in the finals that year

 

Columbus could have the run that the Oilers did as an 8th seed in '06 if they continue playing like this and I'm very down to see that happen.
