they both have pretty comparable careers to this point. Hall is at 0.91 ppg for his career, Seguin 0.87

Seguin plays the more important position obviously

 

i was blown away last night when Minny was announced at 12 (or 10 or whatever it was) and they then said, "that means Chicago is guaranteed to pick in the top 3!" and i was baffled by how / why and they never explained it and i still don't understand why that was the case.

don't really care, but holy shit that was strange as it seemed random as shit

 

they do 3 separate lotteries...one for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Meaning you can only move down a maximum of 3 slots from where you finished. Devils finished 3rd worst so the absolute WORST pick they could have had was 6th, and so on.

When they start counting backwards, once a team is out of the "starting" order it means they've jumped into the top 3. Chicago was slotted and then did not show up meaning they moved up. Same for the Rangers further down.
