Well this would be nice. If Byram falls to us I'd be so incredibly stoked. Had him #3 on my board since halfway through this season.

Also would LOL if the ducks picked Broberg that high. Gimme those 2 scenarios plus 2 other dman rising into the top 10 so someone good falls.

 

The 2016 draft will forever be an LOL for the jets.

How deep in the talent this year? It’s weird not picking in the lottery.

 

About the same as last year, big drop off after the lottery. Much worse defensive class though.

 

Curious if this is the year we trade the first round pick. We have a stacked system and plenty of young guys ready to move up. Wouldn’t hurt to have one more veteran to lead them.

Especially if Williams doesn’t resign.

I'm reposting this because the lottery system needs to be fixed.... no bias here at all ahem

 

I've been saying it for awhile. The only reason they expanded the lottery is because they thought people would tune in and be like "wow, this is so wild and whacky I'm going to become a big NHL fan now!". It should've stayed that the bottom 5 could only get into the top 3.

 

by the way- as far the "Draft is rigged" thing...

Apparently they do the drawing 1.5 hours before its revealed on TV. Each team has a "legislator" in a room with no TVs/phones/internet that find out the results right when they happen and make sure there is no funny business. That leaked image is probably someone screwing up right around then.

Why is it that the NHL and the NBA don't just do the lottery live? Like, why do they do it privately an hour beforehand? I really just wanna see teams get pissed live TBH

 

Ok now that I'm done being a total immature child about the lottery...

Picking second in this draft is the best result for any team. The first pick has the real tough decision. This is good for the rangers.
