i wonder what Tavares' relationship is like with Lou and Trotz. i mean, Trotz just got there so it's not like they have a deep, powerful relationship. i wonder how much of the new regime change helps or hurts the Islanders case to keep him.

Another tweet said STL is trying to get Buffalo to take Sobotka's salary back. Other hangups are that one team (MTL I think) would pay ROR's 7/1 bonus and one won't pay the bonus (STL but they have the better prospect in Thomas)

Dan Buffa is shit and gets called out frequently by every one in STL media, most recently by Kelly Chase (who has down our color radio commentary for 18 years). He's full of it, and not even a true radio guy - he just does movie reviews and blogs.

I'll eat massive crow if it happens, but Thomas isn't being moved.

Had not heard of Buffa previously but I remember Rutherford being on the money when Buffalo traded Miller/Ott to STL. Also the Buffalo guy below nailed the Evander Kane return ahead of it being official so I'm inclined to believe he may have a source.

 

I mean he did score a series winning goal so makes sense they need him for those non existent playoff moments in the future.

yeah JR is our former beat writer now with the Athletic who you can pretty much trust no matter what. Buffa legit just works for an AM radio station calling in with movie reviews and will blog on SB Nation.

I do think O'Reilly to STL is legit a possbility, there's too much smoke. I just was saying that guy isn't trust worthy and by all accounts the blues have said over and over Thomas isn't going anywhere.

 

Curious how much they’re giving him. He would’ve been overpaid on the market.
