Rag it means hold the puck to kill time. They were on the PK, and you can hear someone yell it a couple times. I think that actually is the case.

 

I could make that out when repeated, but that first time I still hear a slur. But it might be a case of that Occam's razor thing, so you might be right with that interpretation.

I just don't blame myself or others for thinking and expecting the worst -- has there ever been a case of the refs and the NHL disciplining a player for bigotry that wasn't caught on tape?

In that initial video that was posted, it definitely sounded to me like a slur from Mo on my first listen. But a handful of other listens sounds like two different cadences from (maybe) two different players, at an inopportune time.

This second video showcases "rag it" more clearly, I think:


I still don't know what to believe was said though. The NHL should get more evidence and see what the ref heard, as well as perspective from the benches, but if Mo really did say what everyone thinks he said, then yeah I have no problem with him being suspended for it. I just don't think anyone can really definitively hear what was said based off of these two videos alone
