i'm very much willing to look at things besides numbers - is someone a team leader, a good influence, a good ice presence, does he help other guys play better, etc. and i have no idea if Gudbranson does that or not but from the sheer perspective of what his numbers equal to, combined with being paid 4M i am stumped that any team would trade for that type of player unless they were legit getting rid of a worse player.

 

No, gudbranson is actually very awful. There's nothing you're missing. Could he have a renaissance as a pen? I guess but it's highly unlikely
