Here for the Preds/Blues game and the NWHL all-star game. Should be a fun day, but Nashville definitely doesn’t get up for these morning games.

NJ needs to win some fkin games

 

They are so close to last I can taste it

 

the Kings have jumped the Ducks. and Ducks are still only single points (6) back of a wildcard.

what a crazy year. this is so fun.

 

i don't think this is true. there's a cool article on The Athletic about Boyle and the trade and he mentioned being at home with his daughter the rest of the day after leaving the NJ arena before leaving for Nashville and that their nanny stayed with his daughter to help ease the transition. meanwhile his wife and son were going to a doctor's appointment in Boston the day he got traded.

 

Strange. It was mentioned multiple times on twitter the day of the trade and during the broadcast for his first game.

they may have goofed up the details with McLeod. his family stayed in Nashville after he was traded from the Preds.

 

their VP/GM is gonna be interim HC? that seems... odd.

edit: and from what is on his Wikipedia page, Murray has never been a coach at any level of hockey before, so the tank seems like it might be in better shape than it was with Carlyle

 

VP/GM as an intermin HC with no HC experience?

 

Tank is full speed ahead and the GM gets to see the locker room up close to see who’s pulling their weight (at least that’s what I hope)

like, VP/GM seems like a hard enough job with a lot going on. and now you're going to add HC to that for the last 25ish games? does he go back to VP/GM after the season ends? is someone doing those two jobs while he is HC or is he doing all 3? seems like a tough gig. surprised there wasn't anyone else they'd have become interim GM.

 

i kind of want Winnipeg and Nashville to make a bunch of massive trades to try to one-up each other since they're likely to face off again in the second round.

 

Kinda wanna see these teams play in the playoffs. They do not like each other at alllll. A seven game series would be a blast.
