Read an article that Washington may like / believe in Holtby as their starter more than Samsonov and that they’d maybe expose Samsonov to Seattle.

I think I would very much like that based on what I’ve read about Samsonov to date.

Between that and the future cap projections with albatross deals like AMac coming off the books soon, good days are ahead finally.

If they keep winning then they’ll hold him and try to resign him, I think. I love Simmer but I think they should try to capitalize on his value and move him.

Doesnt sound like that’s gonna happen though if they keep winning and get back in the wildcard race.

 

Whoever gives simmonds a long term deal will regret it

 

He's got MAYBE 2 more years of being above average and then he's going to hit a fast downhill fall. Precisely why I'd like to see the Flyers move him now. His value was at it's peak probably two years ago but he'd still have decent value this year.

Obviously if the Flyers somehow squeak into the playoffs this year, they'll be bounced quickly. No point in keeping Simmer around nor in extending him.

i imagine at least concussion but possibly broken nose / orbital bone and or teeth as well since there was A LOT of blood as his face scraped across the ice. hope he's okay.
