Bob Murray foolishly said he wasn’t considering a coaching a month ago. We’ll see if he changes that.

 

I swear I read somewhere that murray doesn’t like doing in season coaching changes so Carlyle will be there the whole season.

I like this “shift counter” that NBC has, never noticed it before.

Wish there was a better way of knowing who was on the ice on a consistent basis. Jersey numbers are hard for me to read so I have trouble figuring it out.

I imagine in the future there might be an option where part of the screen shows who is on the ice constantly with length of their shift.i would definitely use that.

 

I’ve seen a lot of people piling on Bourne for that tweet and I don’t really get it. I love that the Hurricanes are fun and do the celebrations. I can also understand how it might feel like a strange thing to do for someone spending their entire life being taught to play the game “tHe RiGhT wAy” and whatnot. It seems like a reasonably measured take.

There isn't one right way to show personality in the NHL and the extreme takes on each side aren't particularly helpful. It's something cool the Hurricanes do for their fans -- that's it.

Looking at the top 25 in points, and finally realizing how insane Aho’s season has been so far. 3 TB, 4 Calgary, 3 Pittsburgh, and a couple each from Boston, Colorado, Winnipeg, and Edmonton. There’s only 7 guys in the top 25 who don’t have a teammate also in the top 25. Those are Kane, Marner, Aho, Panarin, Ovechkin, Burns, and Giroux; ordered by most to least amount of points.

When you consider that Marner, Ovechkin, and Burns play on juggernauts in this league, you’re looking at guys like Kane, Aho, Panarin, and Giroux who are producing at such impressive rates without as impressive of a supporting class.

Anyways, so concludes my Sebastian Aho is elite argument.
